These are some poems I wrote recently, but, be forewarned, they are VERY different than the stories I write!!!
Apex
In sorrow I curve inward, like a spoon,
clanging against the side
of the empty coffee cups within me.
In laughter,
however,
I become the open space of my soul --
sky blue,
passionate,
reckless.
Storm Warning
My department store desert
was dry
and pleading
with want --
and
I asked for some rain
and then life came down like a torrential rainstorm,
but where are my goddamn arm floaties
because now I'm fucking drowning in all this
life?
I hold my breath (...)
and sink
And then I am weightless --
and free.
Untitled
I'll wait.
I'll want
Your weight
whenever.
(but) Where's
my wildness,
